8.75 Heated Classic Thailand Ruby

Please note when viewing high quality gemstones on the net there are certain limitations:

  1. Most monitors display images at varying dots per inch (dpi) and are not color-corrected.
  2. GIF and JPEG formats compromise quality.
  3. Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers can only "see" 216 of 256 colors.
Since every system, browser, and monitor is different, we don't know if what you and we see are the same.

NGC Comment: Please see the AGL letter below. A stoplight red Classic Thailand Ruby. Top crystal and rich tone. Really clean for a large Thai Ruby. High brilliancy and good cutting and finish. Although the stone is heated, almost all Thai rubies are heated. The heat stability is excellent, so no need to worry. Top gem Burma rubies have recently sold for about $500,000 per carat. You can buy a gem Thai ruby for about 10% of the per carat price of a gem Burma. Could you imagine this stone mounted? If not, this stone could represent a major part of your gem collection.
