NGC Comment: Please see the AGL letter below. A stoplight red Classic Thailand Ruby. Top crystal and rich tone. Really clean for a large Thai Ruby. High brilliancy and good cutting and finish. Although the stone is heated, almost all Thai rubies are heated. The heat stability is excellent, so no need to worry. Top gem Burma rubies have recently sold for about $500,000 per carat. You can buy a gem Thai ruby for about 10% of the per carat price of a gem Burma. Could you imagine this stone mounted? If not, this stone could represent a major part of your gem collection.
